Komodo National Park Dive Sites

Cannibal Rock South Komodo | A southern Komodo legend — dense, diverse, and downright otherworldly.
8.8330°S, 119.7020°E
Cannibal Rock sits at the heart of Horseshoe Bay in Nusa Kode, surrounded by steep cliffs, misty jungle, and dragon-patrolled shores. Despite the ominous name, this seamount is one of Komodo National Park’s richest and most revered dive sites. Rising from the sandy bottom to just a few meters below the surface, Cannibal Rock is a beacon for marine life — fed by cold, nutrient-rich upwellings and protected from destructive fishing by geography and remoteness.
Known for staggering biodiversity, this site is a paradise for macro lovers and wide-angle photographers alike. With nearly every inch covered in life, there’s something to discover on every dive — and no two dives here feel the same.
