CRINOID WALL South Komodo | A colorful vertical drop rich with coral life, swaying crinoids, and excellent macro surprises.
8º 47’ 27.3" S, 119º 39’ 32.3" E
Crinoid Wall is a picturesque vertical reef located along the southern coast of Nusa Kode, not far from Cannibal Rock. As the name suggests, the wall is blanketed in feather stars (crinoids) — their arms flowing in the current — alongside sponges, sea fans, and an incredible variety of small reef life. The wall begins at around 5 meters and plunges to depths beyond 30 meters, making it an excellent multilevel profile with scenic views all the way down.
The dive is typically calm and ideal for slow exploration, offering outstanding macro opportunities while still appealing to wide-angle photographers thanks to the vivid coral coverage and dramatic structure. It’s also a great spot to pair with nearby sites like Cannibal Rock or Torpedo Alley during southern itineraries.
