Overview

Tucked into the southern coastline of Rinca Island, Yellow Wall — also known as Secret Garden — is one of the most visually arresting wall dives in Komodo. Famous for its golden-hued soft corals and dramatic drop-off, this site lives up to its name with hidden alcoves, garden-like ledges, and surprise encounters around every corner.

The site runs along a steep reef wall that plunges into the deep blue, draped in yellow and orange dendronephthya soft corals. The currents here can range from mild to exhilarating, and when timed right, this is one of the most photogenic and biodiverse dives in the park — especially in the south season.

Marine Life

Yellow Wall is a macro lover’s paradise wrapped in a technicolor dream. The sheer wall is home to pygmy seahorses, leaf scorpionfish, and decorator crabs, camouflaged among delicate sea fans and yellow soft coral. You’ll also find hawkbill turtles, schools of fusiliers, and triggerfish weaving in and out of the wall’s crevices.

In the deeper sections, whip corals play host to shrimp and gobies, while eagle rays or larger pelagics occasionally make appearances in the blue. It’s one of those rare sites where you can spend the entire dive floating alongside a living wall, discovering new creatures with every meter.
