Golden Passage is one of Komodo’s most reliable thrill rides. This channel between Gili Lawa Darat and Komodo Island funnels tidal water across a shallow ridge, creating a golden-hued drift that’s as exhilarating as it is scenic. With healthy coral slopes, abundant reef fish, and a high chance of pelagic sightings, this site is a favorite among both guides and guests.
Depending on tide and timing, Golden Passage can be a gentle glide or a high-speed express. Either way, it’s an underwater highway for fish — and one of the best places in the park to spot turtles, trevally, and even mantas cruising by.
